Leifheit

Household cleaning tools designed around edges, corners and poles

Leifheit comes from household tools rather than machinery, and it shows in the details that decide whether a job is finished or nearly finished.

The steam mop

The CleanTenso Power holds 680 ml and runs up to fifty minutes — roughly double the tank of most steam mops here — and its square floor plate cleans into corners and along skirtings rather than around them. Both are answers to the two complaints people actually have about steam mops: stopping to refill, and finishing the edges by hand.

What it does not have is a second, gentler steam setting, so on laminate the responsibility falls on technique.

The window vacuum

The Dry & Clean fits Leifheit’s Click-System telescopic poles, with a 360° head that stays flat against the glass through the arc of a stroke. That makes conservatory roofs and stairwell windows reachable from the floor — safer than a ladder, and the only machine in that family here designed for it.

Consumables

Pads and blades are the wearing parts. Microfibre dies of fabric softener and high heat long before it dies of use, which is the cheapest thing on this site to get wrong.
