The bottom line Buy it for the pole compatibility. If every window is within reach, the simpler machines here are lighter and cheaper.
The Leifheit Dry & Clean is the window vacuum in this group designed to go on a pole, with a 360° head and the brand’s Click-System fitting.
Reach without a ladder
Stairwell windows, conservatory roofs, the top half of a tall French door: these are the panes that never get cleaned, because cleaning them means a ladder. A vacuum head on a telescopic pole reaches them from the floor. The pole is bought separately, and which one you buy decides the reach.
The rotating head is not decoration
Working overhead, the angle between your hands and the glass changes throughout every stroke. A fixed head peels away from the surface halfway up and leaves the line of water it was supposed to remove. A head that rotates keeps the blade flat against the pane.
What you give up
Feel. At arm’s length you know instantly whether the blade is in contact; at three metres you do not, so passes must be slower. The machine is a way to avoid a ladder, and a ladder still gives the better result on glass you can safely reach.

Questions people actually ask
Is cleaning windows from the ground realistic?
For a first-floor window over a flat roof or a conservatory, yes, and it is far safer than a ladder. The compromise is control: at three metres you cannot feel the blade's contact with the glass, so passes need to be slower and more deliberate. It is a way to avoid a ladder, not a way to do a better job.
Why does a rotating head matter?
Because on a pole, the angle between you and the glass changes constantly. A fixed head lifts off the surface as you extend, leaving a line of water; a 360° head stays flat against the pane through the arc of the stroke.
