Bosch

Two Bosches — the green home range and the blue professional one, with very different specification habits

Bosch sells into this niche twice. The green home and garden range covers the UniversalAquatak pressure washers and the UniversalVac vacuums; the blue professional range covers machines like the GAS 12-25 PL. They are different products with different documentation, sold side by side.

The domestic range

Sensibly designed and quietly specified. The 3-in-1 nozzle on the UniversalAquatak machines is genuinely practical — fan, rotary and pencil jets in one head, so the lance you need is never in the shed. What the listings do not give is a flow rate, which makes honest comparison with a Kärcher or Nilfisk impossible on the number that decides cleaning speed.

The professional range

The opposite. The GAS 12-25 PL publishes 65 l/s of airflow and 200 mbar of suction on the same line — the pair that actually describes a vacuum, and which almost nobody else prints. If you want to compare machines rather than believe them, that is where to start.

The fitting

Bosch uses its own connector on domestic washers. The AquaSurf surface cleaners list the exact machines they fit, which removes the most common wasted purchase in this category.
