Dreame

Floor washers and robots that live or die on how hot they wash their own roller

Dreame appears twice on this site: in floor washers with the H12 and H14, and in robot vacuum mops with the L10s Ultra and L40 Ultra.

The specification that decides a floor washer

Not suction. The roller wash-and-dry cycle. A floor washer’s roller sits damp in a dock between uses, and a damp roller carrying floor dirt smells within days — at which point people start washing it by hand, which is the chore the machine was bought to remove.

Dreame states 90 °C (194 °F) for the H12 Pro FlexReach and 60 °C (140 °F) for the newer, dearer H14 Pro. That is an unusual direction for a range to move, and exactly the kind of detail that disappears behind a higher model number. Read the two side by side.

The robots

Extending side brushes and mop pads on the L-series, which narrows the untouched border every round robot leaves along a skirting. The platform is mature — mapping, app and spares — which matters more for long-term satisfaction than any suction figure.

Running costs

Rollers, filters, pads, brushes and dock bags are all model-specific. Over three years they are a meaningful share of the purchase price, and they never appear in it.
