The bottom line Buy it for the tank and the corners. If your floors are delicate, buy the one with two settings instead.
The CleanTenso Power is built around the specification most steam mops are quietly bad at: 680 ml of water and up to fifty minutes of steam, from a tank you can pull out and refill at the sink.
Runtime is the steam mop’s real limit
Most steam mops hold three or four hundred millilitres. On a small bathroom that is plenty; on a tiled ground floor it means two or three interruptions, and every interruption is a machine cooling on a wet floor. Doubling the tank does not make the machine clean better — it makes it clean the whole floor in one go, which is the same practical gain.
Corners, and the shape of the plate
A square floor plate sounds like nothing until you have tried to clean a fitted kitchen with a triangular one. Skirting lines, the corner behind the bin, the strip under the units: a square edge takes them in the pass you were making anyway. Leifheit also makes the head fold flat enough to run under low furniture, which is where floor dirt actually accumulates.
What it does not have
One steam level is published, with no wood-and-tile distinction. On sealed tile, stone and vinyl that is fine. On laminate and engineered wood it puts the responsibility on your technique — keep moving, never park the head, and test somewhere hidden first.
There is also no descaling cartridge in the specification, so descaling follows the manual and your water hardness. In a hard-water area that is a diary entry, not an optional extra.
The carpet glider
The supplied glider lets the machine pass over a rug to freshen it rather than clean it — steam through a glider lifts smells and raises flattened pile. It is not carpet cleaning; that is the injection-extraction machines’ job, and no steam mop replaces one.

Questions people actually ask
Does a round or triangular head clean corners?
Not properly. A triangular head reaches into a corner point-first but leaves the two edges beside it; a square plate covers the corner and the skirting line in the same pass. On a kitchen with fitted units, that is the difference between one pass and finishing by hand.
Is fifty minutes realistic?
It is Leifheit's figure for continuous use on a single fill, and it is the tank size that makes it credible: 680 ml is roughly double what most steam mops in this class hold. What varies is your steam consumption — heavy grout work uses it faster than a maintenance pass over clean tile.
What about a laminate floor?
With a single published steam level, be careful. Keep the head moving, never park it, and test in an inconspicuous corner first. If your floor is laminate with visible joints, a machine with a lower wood setting — such as the Kärcher SC 2 Upright — is the safer purchase.
