The Lehmann 15 L does something rare in this family: it states a temperature. Ash up to 40 °C, a steel drum, a washable HEPA filter in a metal housing, and a flexible metal hose.
Most ash vacuums say “cold ash” and leave the buyer to guess. Naming 40 °C is more useful, and it is also lower than most people expect — barely warm to the touch. Read it as the manufacturer drawing a line rather than as permission: a stove used the previous evening is not at 40 °C in the middle, however cool the surface feels.
Ash blinds filters faster than anything else a domestic vacuum meets. A disposable element in this application is a subscription. A washable HEPA element in a metal housing is the right combination — rinse it, dry it fully, refit it. Fitting one that is still damp is how a filter turns to a solid cake of ash.
The rubber-coated metal hose is a sensible compromise between the safety of the aluminium tubes on the Einhell machines and the manoeuvrability of PVC. Around a stove door, flexibility is what decides whether the corners actually get cleaned.

Body temperature, roughly. It is the manufacturer stating a limit rather than leaving it to interpretation, which is more useful than the usual silence — but it is not permission to empty a stove that was burning this morning. Ash insulates: the surface can feel cool while the centre is still hot enough to set a plastic bin alight.
On ash, yes. It is the material that blinds a filter fastest, so a disposable element becomes a running cost you feel within a season. Washable means rinse, dry completely, refit — and 'completely' matters, because a damp filter loaded with ash sets like cement.
