Dreame H14 Pro review

Automatic detergent dosing and app control, on the same flat head — convenience rather than capability.

The bottom line Convenience over capability: the automation is real, but the cheaper H12 Pro washes its roller hotter.

The H14 Pro adds automation to Dreame’s flat-headed floor washer: automatic solution dispensing, app control, a 60 °C roller wash and the same five-minute drying cycle.

Dosing, done for you

Floor detergent is routinely over-poured, and the result is a film that dries sticky and holds the next week’s dirt. A machine that meters its own solution removes that, and keeps the mix consistent from the first room to the last. The trade is a proprietary consumable — worth pricing per litre before treating it as a feature rather than a subscription.

The specification worth reading twice

The cheaper H12 Pro FlexReach in this comparison states a 90 °C roller wash. This model states 60 °C. Roller hygiene is the whole reason these machines survive contact with a real kitchen floor, and hotter water does more for grease and for smell. It is an unusual direction for a range to move in, and it is exactly the kind of detail that disappears behind a newer model number.

What the app is for

Cycle selection, status, consumable reminders. Useful, and a dependency: an account, an update path, and a machine whose full behaviour lives partly on a phone. For a floor cleaner, that is a preference rather than a benefit.

What we like, and what we don't

Strengths

  • Automatic detergent dosing: no guessing, and no over-dosing that leaves a film
  • Lie-flat head with dual edge brushes, as on the H12 Pro
  • Five-minute drying cycle after a 60 °C roller wash

Compromises

  • 60 °C roller care against 90 °C on the H12 Pro FlexReach — the cheaper machine washes hotter
  • App control adds an account and a dependency for a floor cleaner
  • Prices vary widely between European markets on this reference

Questions people actually ask

Is automatic detergent dosing worth having?

It solves a real problem: too much floor detergent leaves a film that then attracts dirt, and most people over-pour. Automatic dosing meters it consistently. The cost is that you are buying into the maker's solution — check the price per litre before assuming it is a saving.

Why does the dearer model wash the roller cooler?

It is a genuine oddity in the range: the H12 Pro FlexReach states a 90 °C roller wash, this one 60 °C. Hotter is better for grease and for smell. If the roller cycle is what you are buying — and on a floor washer it should be near the top of the list — read the two specifications side by side rather than assuming the newer number is the higher one.
