Vacuum and mop in one pass · review
The one here that also handles carpet — and publishes both tank volumes instead of neither.
The bottom line The most versatile machine here, and the most honest about its tanks. Do not mistake carpet capability for carpet cleaning.
The CrossWave C3 Pro is the only machine in this group rated for carpet as well as hard floors, and one of the few that publishes both tank volumes: 0.82 l clean, 0.62 l dirty.
Two tank figures tell you how far one fill goes and which one stops you first — in practice the dirty tank, because it collects both the water you put down and everything on the floor. Most listings in this category publish neither, which makes every comparison a guess. This one does not.
Rated for tile, sealed wood, laminate and carpet. On carpet the machine wets, agitates with the roller and recovers most of the liquid: a refresh rather than a deep clean. Spray extraction machines — a separate family on this site — push solution into the pile and pull it back with far more suction, and that is what a stained or heavily soiled carpet needs. Knowing which job you have is the whole decision.
An antibacterial roller and an odour management system. That is Bissell acknowledging the failure mode of the category: a damp roller in a warm room. It is a lighter answer than the 85 to 90 °C wash-and-dry cycles on the Dreame and Tineco machines here, and it is better than nothing at all.

It refreshes carpet: it wets, agitates and lifts most of the water back out. That is not the same as spray extraction, which pushes solution deep into the pile and pulls it back with far more suction — the machines in our carpet cleaner family. For a rug that needs freshening between deep cleans, this is genuinely useful; for a stained carpet, it is not the right tool.
It is the honest limit of the machine, and publishing it is to Bissell's credit — most listings in this category publish neither tank. Expect to refill on a large ground floor. The dirty tank at 0.62 l fills first in practice, and it is the one you must empty before it reaches the line.
