Nilfisk is the Danish half of the European pressure washer duopoly, and the more forthcoming of the two about what its machines actually do. On the Core 140 listing you get pressure, flow, area performance and input power — the complete set, which almost no competitor provides.
The PowerControl dial is the feature worth buying the brand for. Most damage done by domestic pressure washers happens at full pressure because full pressure was the only setting available; a machine that can be turned down is a machine that can be used on a car, on shutters and on render without stripping them.
The step from the Core 140 to the Core 150-10 is the one that matters: a metal pump head, a ten-meter hose on an internal reel, and a stated maximum inlet temperature. Those are durability specifications, not cleaning ones — they decide whether the machine reaches its tenth season.
Nilfisk uses Click&Clean, which is neither Kärcher’s bayonet nor the M22 trade thread. Accessories cross over only through an adapter, and the adapters family on this site covers which one you need in each direction.
