The bottom line The light, well-thought-out domestic choice — buy it for the second brush, not the area figure.
The S 3 Twin sweeps a 650 mm path with two side brushes, holds 16 litres, weighs 9.7 kg and is quoted at 1 800 m²/h.
What a sweeper replaces
Twenty minutes with this instead of an afternoon with a broom, and without the dust cloud a broom raises. It is the least glamorous machine on this site and the one most likely to be used weekly, because it needs no power, no fuel and no setup.
Why the second brush matters
Side brushes throw debris from the edges into the path of the roller. With one brush, one side of every pass is missed and finished by hand. With two, the machine cleans up to both edges — which on a terrace with walls, or a drive with kerbs, is most of the job.
Brush height, and the surface
Set too low the brushes wear out in a season and the machine pushes rather than sweeps; too high and it skims over grit. Adjust for the surface — and accept that loose gravel is not a sweeper’s job at any setting.

Questions people actually ask
Two side brushes or one?
Two, if the surface has edges — which every drive and terrace does. A single brush sweeps one side into the roller and leaves the other, so you either make two passes or finish with a broom. It is the most practical difference between sweepers in this price band.
Will it work on gravel?
Partly. Sweepers work best on flat, hard surfaces; on gravel the brushes throw stones and the roller picks up what you wanted to keep. Raising the brush height helps. If the drive is loose gravel rather than compacted, a blower is the better tool.
