The PS 30 Plus is Kärcher’s small surface cleaner: three jets inside a bristle ring, a swivelling side nozzle and a head that rotates 360°.
Wide surface cleaners cannot reach into a corner or clean a step riser — their housings stop short. The PS 30’s side nozzle swivels out to take that line, which turns a flight of steps from a lance-and-splashback job into a controlled one.
A rotating head lets the same tool run up a wall or along a low render panel with the bristles containing the spray. On paint, render and lime mortar the usual caution applies: contained or not, water driven behind a finish reappears as a problem the following winter.
A twenty-square-metre terrace. Three jets in a narrow housing move slowly compared with a wide T-Racer; you would finish, but not happily. Think of it as the detail head in the same way a lance is the detail tool beside a surface cleaner.

They are complements rather than alternatives. The T-Racer covers ground fast and cannot get into a corner; this one is narrow, reaches edges, steps and vertical surfaces, and would be tedious on a whole patio. Most people who clean a terrace with steps end up wanting both.
Yes — the 360° head is what makes that practical, and the bristle ring keeps the spray contained while you work above waist height. Take the usual care with render and paint: a contained jet is still a jet, and vertical surfaces are exactly where water driven behind a finish causes damage you see next winter.
