The TE-VC 2230 SACL is Einhell’s site machine: dust class L with a HEPA filter, a button filter cleaning system and a 2 000 W automatic tool socket.
The socket rating is the interesting number
Most domestic vacuums with a take-off socket are rated for small tools. Two thousand watts is another matter — it covers a mitre saw, a plunge saw or a router, which are the tools whose dust you most want captured at source. If your reason for buying is extraction rather than cleaning, this is the specification to compare, and it is rarely on the front of the box.
Class L, with a HEPA element
Dust class L is the level for wood dust and general workshop debris. The HEPA element improves what leaves the exhaust, which matters in a garage attached to a house. Neither makes it a plaster machine: that remains class M, and no filter upgrade to an L-rated body changes the classification.
Wet work needs the swap
A foam filter is supplied for water and the pleated element comes out first. That is one more thing to remember than on the current Kärchers, and forgetting it costs a filter. Keep the foam one in the drum so the two travel together.

What we like, and what we don't
Strengths
A 2 000 W tool socket — enough for a full-size mitre saw, not just a sander
Dust class L with a HEPA element, and a button to clear the filter
Foam filter for wet work supplied, so nothing has to be bought on day one
Compromises
Verified absent from the US and Italian stores
Separate filters for wet and dry: a swap to remember
Einhell publishes no airflow figure for this model
Because a 2 000 W socket runs the tools that actually make dust — a mitre saw or a plunge saw draws far more than a random orbital sander. A vacuum whose socket is rated at a few hundred watts will trip or refuse the tool you most wanted to connect.
Do I have to change the filter to vacuum water?
On this machine, yes: a foam filter is supplied for wet work and the pleated filter comes out. It is one more step than the current Kärcher WD arrangement, and it is the step people forget — a soaked pleated filter is finished.
