The bottom line The most complete robot here on paper. Choose between it and the Ecovacs T50 on price and dock size, not on capability.
The L10s Ultra Gen 3 brings Dreame’s flagship features to the same brief as the Ecovacs machines here: 25 000 Pa, an extending side brush and mop, and an Ultra-class dock.
Extending, again, and why
Every robot in this group now extends something on the approach to a wall, because a round machine cannot otherwise clean a right angle. Dreame extends both brush and pads. The result is a narrower untouched border — not no border.
The platform matters as much as the hardware
Mapping quality, app stability, how well the machine recovers when it gets stuck, and whether parts are still sold in three years: these decide satisfaction more than any published figure. Dreame’s platform is mature, which is a real advantage over cheaper machines with a single season of software behind them.
The rug rule
Mop lifting is the specification that lets one machine do a hall and a runner in the same pass. Without it, a mopping robot wets everything it crosses. With it, the pads are raised or ejected before the machine reaches the rug — and it is worth confirming on any robot you buy that mops.

Questions people actually ask
Do robots handle rugs properly?
They vacuum them adequately and should not mop them. The feature to look for is mop lifting: the machine raises or ejects the pads when it detects carpet, so a wet pad never crosses a rug. Without it, a robot that mops and vacuums in one pass will damp your runner every time it crosses it.
How long do the consumables last?
Side brushes and mop pads are months rather than years; filters and dock dust bags are on their own schedules. None of it is expensive individually, and all of it is model-specific. Before buying any robot, check the parts are sold for that exact model — a discontinued platform is an expensive ornament.
