The Cleancraft HKM 700 sweeps 700 mm into a 20-litre hopper using a tandem roller system: two side brushes feeding two rollers rather than one.
Flat debris is the test
A single roller passes over a sheet of paper pressed flat to the ground, and over a leaf that has been rained on and dried. Two rollers in sequence lift it. That is a small mechanical difference that changes what the machine can be used for — a forecourt with litter rather than a terrace with dust.
Width and volume together
Seven hundred millimetres with twenty litres is the best pairing here: the Güde has the width and a small hopper, the Kärcher has the hopper and less width. This has both, at the cost of being a larger object to store.
What it still will not do
Wet leaves. Loose gravel. Fine dust in any quantity. Mechanical sweeping is dry work, and the mechanism that lifts a can will still jam on a mat of soaked foliage.
