Can I use a longer drain cleaning hose than the one supplied?

Yes, up to a point — beyond twenty or thirty meters, friction eats the pressure and the nozzle stops pulling itself along.

The thrust that drives the hose forward comes from the water leaving the rear jets, and every meter of thin hose costs pressure. There is a length beyond which the nozzle simply stops advancing.

That limit depends on your machine’s flow, not only on its bar figure. A low-flow domestic washer runs out of push sooner than a trade machine does.

Fifteen meters reaches most domestic runs from an inspection chamber. If you need thirty, check the hose is rated for your machine’s pressure and that the fitting matches — the long hoses are often built for trade couplings.
