A cyclone separator with a metal collection tank, fitted between the tool and the vacuum.

Why it changes a workshop vacuum

Debris spins out of the airflow and falls into the tank; only fine dust reaches the vacuum. That means the filter stops loading, suction stops fading, and the bag lasts far longer. On a job that makes real quantities of chips or dust, it is more useful than a bigger vacuum.

What it costs

A little airflow, and a second container to find room for. Both are minor next to a vacuum whose filter clogs halfway through a session.
